I am a Holistic Counsellor, Psycho-Somatic Therapist, and a Therapeutic Body Worker but with particular interests in the Hawaiian healing arts of Lomi Lomi.
I have qualifications in Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, Ho'opono pono (the Hawaiian art of healing through forgiveness), Haumana Ho'omanaloa (the ancient Hawaiian Healing Science) and Deep Tissue Lomi Lomi (directly from the Hawaiian Elders) and many connections to the Hawaiian ethos of Aloha.
I also have a Diploma in Health Science (Holistic Counselling - Endeavour College), Certificates in Therapeutic Massage (Endeavour College), Psycho-somatic Therapy (Australian Institute of Psycho-Somatic Therapy) and Time Management (AIM).
I have extensive experience in stress counselling, crisis counselling and couples counselling.
Lomi Lomi (the Hawaiian word for Massage)is an ancient healing art of working body and mind to prevent and cure illness. As a massage, Lomi Lomi is nurturing and soothing, continuous and rhythmic, lulling you into a sense of peaceful calm, and is as much a massaging of the body as the mind.
I offer Hawaiian style relaxation massage as deep tissue body work, as was a common style of the male Lomi Lomi practitioners.
Lomi Lomi is for full body healing and recognises that every pain and emotion,in fact all of our experiences are retained in our body’s tissue, or if you like, our cellular memory.
Lomi Lomi takes relaxation into another realm, beyond relaxation of muscle tissue to relaxation of thought and spiritual calm.
